By sourcing those spare fingerprint recognition modules from thinkpad and other laptops, combined with an aluminum metal case, allows us to make a fingerprint sensor for Windows Hello. This sensor is compact and able to connect to a PC host using Type-C. After the driver is installed, it will seamlessly access the system's fingerprint function to gain fingerprint login capability. Thus avoiding the need to enter a password each time.
We have a PC and have been testing it for a while now and it works quite well. Most of the time it works pretty well except when there is water on your hand which can cause an anomaly in the recognition.
We hope to have a chance to share it with you soon! Actually, we're almost ready to go, but it's not a sensor for HA! Haha.
One thing we particularly like is that it's capacitive technology, without that layer of glass, and the recognition is fast.
We finished testing it on a Win10 DELL mini-computer and some other notebook computers.
